Dunkin' Donuts Announces Call for Applications for the 2012-2013 KidZone Program
Non-profit organizations serving youth are encouraged to apply to send groups to local professional sporting events at no cost
CANTON, Mass., Sept. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Dunkin' Donuts, America's all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, today officially announced the kick-off of its 2012-2013 KidZone program. The Dunkin' Donuts KidZone is a special seating section that has hosted youth from charitable organizations at hundreds of Bruins and Celtics home games for more than ten years. In addition to the KidZone, Dunkin' Donuts also sponsors the Dunkin' Dugout during Red Sox home games. Applications are now being accepted for the upcoming Bruins and Celtics season.
Non-profit organizations that are interested in the program and serve youth in the Greater Boston, Worcester, Cape Cod and Southern New Hampshire areas are encouraged to email [email protected] to receive their application. Organizations can also follow @DunkinBoston on Twitter for application process updates throughout the months of September and October. The application deadline for the Bruins and Celtics season is September 30. Groups will be notified by the week of October 8.
New this year, Dunkin' Donuts and the YMCA of Greater Boston have partnered to celebrate the iconic organization's 100th anniversary of the Huntington Avenue Y and to positively impact numerous youth in the area. In addition to sponsoring the YMCA's 100th anniversary gala, Dunkin' Donuts has provided the YMCA with tickets in the KidZone section for the first four Bruins and Celtics home games of the season. These tickets will be dispersed among the thirteen YMCA of Greater Boston locations.
