Dune Thorne Joins Brown Advisory as Partner
--Appointment Expands Boston Presence and Strengthens Firm's Expertise --
BALTIMORE, June 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Brown Advisory, a leading independent investment management firm with approximately $29 billion in client assets, today announced the appointment of Dune Thorne as Partner in the firm's Boston office. Ms. Thorne will strengthen leadership for the Boston region while serving as a senior investment and strategic advisor to families, family offices and foundations.
Thorne joins Brown Advisory from Silver Bridge Advisors where she was a Managing Director and Principal and served on the Management Committee and as Dean of Faculty of the Silver Bridge Institute, which provides educational programs to enable individuals and families to become more engaged in their financial lives. Prior to Silver Bridge, Thorne was the Director of Investments for Circle Financial Group, an investment and wealth management think tank for ultra-high-net-worth women. In 2011, AdvisorOne recognized Thorne as one of the Top 50 Women in Wealth.
