Dun Glen Gold Content Analysis Shows Increases Up to 200%
FOX ISLAND, Wash., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Black Hawk Exploration, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BHWX) submitted ten samples from our most current Monroe Mine auger testing program at Dun Glen, Pershing County Nevada to ALS Minerals for screen-metallic analysis. Screen-metallic analytical results for two samples; DGA-2 10-12 C and DGA-5 10-12 B indicate up to twice as much gold as was initially determined. Sample DGA-2 increased from 0.66 to 1.28 ppm gold and DGA-5 increased from 0.073 to 0.15 ppm gold.
Previous screen-metallic analyses have shown that coarse gold was present ("nugget effect") but no discernible patterns have been noted. These new results indicate that the lower grade material can show significant increases which can be determined using screen-metallic analysis. "Minor increases and decreases in some of the other samples confirmed the overall values from our previous sampling programs. The nugget effect sampling has given us critical information necessary to extract the maximum gold value from the areas tested at the Monroe Mine dumps. Similar programs are being prepared for seven additional dumps that appear to have tonnage and geochemical sampling results sufficient to make them candidates for the auger sampling procedure at Dun Glen," stated Kevin M. Murphy, CEO.
Using the weighted average for the earlier samples collected, the dumps are estimated to contain 442 ounces of gold and 2,938 ounces of silver. At $1,200 per ounce for gold and $18 per ounce for silver, the gross metal value in the dump was previously estimated to be $582,690.
