Dum Dums Launches Spring Contest-- Grand Prize $1,000 and One-Year Supply of Lollipops

BRYAN, Ohio, April 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Spangler Candy Company®, the makers of Dum Dums® lollipops, are excited to announce a special Magic of Spring contest where contestants have a chance to win $1,000 and a year's supply of Dum Dums. In the spirit of spring, contestants are asked to put their most creative foot forward and build a Dum Dums Garden.

"We love thinking of unconventional and imaginative ways that Dum Dums can find their way into our fans' lives," said Evan Brock, Director of Marketing at Spangler Candy Company. "This contest is sure to create tradition, memories and fun times among families and friends."

A photo or short video of the garden must be posted to Dum Dums Facebook page by 5:00 p.m. EST on May 1, 2016, using the hashtag #MagicOfSpring. Spangler will select the top five most intriguing gardens by May 13, 2016. The winner will be selected from the top five by a "People's Choice" vote, based on the photo that receives the most Facebook likes. The winner will be announced on May 20.

"We want our fans to tap into their creativity, and take their garden in any direction that they would like. We created a Dum Dums Fairy Garden for inspiration, but contestants are encouraged to interpret the concept in whatever way they see fit," said Brock.
