Mary Rita Wallace and Frank Torres, Patient Advocates, Join Firm
UNIONDALE, N.Y., March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Duffy & Duffy, a preeminent medical malpractice law firm based in Uniondale, N.Y., announced the addition of two new attorneys, Mary Rita Wallace and Frank Torres, to the firm. Mary Rita and Frank bring more than 50 years of combined experience in medical malpractice and general liability. They will be based in Duffy & Duffy's Uniondale office.

Mary Rita brings more than 25 years experience in the legal industry to Duffy & Duffy. For the last 19 years, Mary Rita has worked on medical malpractice and general liability cases at Levine & Grossman, preparing cases for trial from beginning to end. Mary Rita is also very active in the legal community. Among other activities, she was an assistant professor at St. John's University, has lectured for the New York State Bar Association, is a retired Village Justice, and is currently the vice-chair of the Nassau County Grievance Committee and a board member of Life's WORC, a not for profit agency that provides comprehensive support to people with developmental disabilities.
Frank Torres comes to Duffy & Duffy with nearly 30 years of legal experience. For the past 10 years as a seasoned trial attorney he has handled cases from inception through conclusion across New York. Frank started his career as a defense attorney at Evans, Orr, Pacelli, Norton & Laffan, where he was the first person to be named partner in almost 30 years. He left in 1995 to start his own firm and later joined Levine & Grossman. Frank is a member of the Nassau, Brooklyn and Bronx County Bar Associations and the Board of Directors of the Brooklyn Prep Alumni Association, a charitable organization that donates scholarships to local children in need. He also sits regularly as a moot court judge at his alma mater, Columbia University School of Law.
