Due to Popular Demand, 'Is Genesis History?' Returns for Special One-Year Anniversary Event in Cinemas Nationwide on February 22 Only
Following its Successful 2017 Screenings, the Original Documentary Will Be Shown in Cinemas Nationwide, Featuring a New Segment With Host Del Tackett Touring the Ark Encounter
DENVER, Jan. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- "Is Genesis History?" landed as Fathom Events' No. 1 event in the inspirational category for 2017, due to the overwhelming fan demand that garnered two encores during its initial run. Now, audiences will get to enjoy this event on the big screen one year later with new exclusive content. Tackling some of the most puzzling questions facing Christians today, Dr. Del Tackett meets with renowned scientists, historians and Bible scholars to discuss the book of Genesis in "Is Genesis History? – A Special Anniversary Event."
This insightful, first-anniversary event comes to U.S. movie theaters on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. local time, from Fathom Events, Compass Cinema and The WTA Group. Following the feature, moviegoers will be treated to a special tour of the Ark Encounter in Grant County, Kentucky. Tackett will use the tour to discuss the event's themes and topics with college students, all captured exclusively for this cinema event.
Tickets for "Is Genesis History? – A Special Anniversary Event" can be purchased online by visiting www.FathomEvents.com or at participating theater box offices. Fans throughout the U.S. will be able to enjoy the event in more than 850 movie theaters. For a complete list of theater locations, visit the Fathom Events website (theaters and participants are subject to change).
"'Is Genesis History?' has far surpassed our expectations. We are honored to have the opportunity to work with Fathom Events on an anniversary screening," Tackett said. "Many have expressed interest that they would like the opportunity to share this experience with their friends on the big screen. We hope this additional screening will help start conversations and continue to inspire people to seek out answers to life's biggest questions."
In this investigative documentary, Dr. Del Tackett crosses the continent to learn from experts in various fields and asks some of the long-standing questions surrounding the book of Genesis: Was the universe created in six literal days? Did humans evolve? Were Adam and Eve real? Was there a global flood? What happened to the dinosaurs? Was there a tower of Babel? This first-of-its-kind documentary seeks to shine light on the origin of humankind and its history, with new insights on how the world came to be.
"Fathom Events is pleased to bring this insightful documentary back to the big screen in honor of its first anniversary," Fathom Events CEO Ray Nutt said. "This screening gives both loyal fans and new audiences a chance to enjoy the content together, offering new thoughts and perspectives on the book of Genesis."
