Duane Morris Launches Educational Arm In United Kingdom

LONDON, Jan. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce the launch of the Duane Morris Institute (DMi) in the United Kingdom. DMi was created at the firm's Philadelphia headquarters in 2009 as the educational outlet for its Employment, Labour, Benefits and Immigration practice. DMi offers online and in-person training on timely and relevant issues in the workplace for human resources professionals, in-house counsel, benefits administrators and other senior management.

"Duane Morris is thrilled to launch DMi in the UK," said Elena Cooper, who will head the DMi programme in London. Cooper, a partner in the firm's London office, said: "This is the first time these courses will be taught outside the U.S., and we look forward to working with our British and European clients on some of the most important, everyday issues in their workplaces—from recruitment and retention, and harassment claims, to compensation and termination."

Cooper has extensive experience in employment law, with a focus on minimising risk and managing the impact of workplace disputes on morale, business reputation and management time. She will spearhead the launch of the institute and work with human resources professionals across Europe.
