Dualstar Entertainment Group Expands Contemporary Brand With Introduction of Denim-Centric TEXTILE Elizabeth and James
Elizabeth and James' Vintage Inspired Denim Division to Debut March 2010
NEW YORK, Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Announced today, Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen expand their partnership with L'Koral Industries with the launch of denim-based offshoot TEXTILE Elizabeth and James. The Spring 2010 collection, set to debut March 2010, adds a casual component to the label as the designers continue to innovate within the contemporary brand known for wearable styles with a strong design aesthetic.
TEXTILE Elizabeth and James collection debuts with three denim styles inspired by the 1970s: the "Joni," a high waisted, cropped flare, the "Hendrix," a bell bottom with distressed details and the "Stevie," a soft, casual button fly jean. The throwback collection pairs well with the contemporary label's separates, yet has the versatility to stand alone with a simple tee.
"The overwhelming support from our retailers and solid partnership with L'Koral Industries created an ideal opportunity to expand into the premium denim arena. With the addition of TEXTILE Elizabeth and James, the label offers a well-rounded collection of casual to dressy options for the trend conscious customer," says Ashley Olsen.
"The fit, wash, hardware and fabric of TEXTILE Elizabeth and James embody the Elizabeth and James quality and design aesthetic our customers have come to expect. The details of each piece have been carefully executed for a worn, classic touch," says Mary-Kate Olsen.
The debut TEXTILE Elizabeth and James collection will be available exclusively with high-end retail and specialty stores Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Intermix. The three denim styles will retail for $245. A comprehensive collection will roll out to all retailers Fall 2010 and will include eight styles of distressed denim and corduroy ranging from $195-$265 as well as distressed tees, delicate blouses, sweaters and sweatshirts ranging from $65-$275.
L'Koral Industries, founded in 1983 and now owned by Jane Siskin has grown into a multifaceted apparel company. Best known for their multi-label junior business and the birth for 7 For All Mankind (now spun off and separately owned) as well as contemporary LaROK and Patterson J. Kincaid brands, Koral continues to expand into new youth driven markets.
