Dtex Systems Achieves 321 Percent Year Over Year Growth, Driven by Demand for User Behavior Intelligence that Detects Insider Threats
New CFO and 37-Year NSA Veteran Join Team as Company Expands Globally Across Public and Private Sector Markets
SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Dtex Systems, the leader in user behavior intelligence and insider threat detection, today announced results of its 2018 fiscal year. Dtex achieved record year-over-year bookings growth of 321 percent. The company grew its customer base with numerous Fortune 500 enterprises that include the world's largest consumer electronics providers and 10 of the globe's leading financial services organizations across North America, Europe and Australia. Dtex closed multiple deals with the federal government including the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). Additionally, Dtex welcomed technology industry leader Debbie Tuck as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and 37-year National Security Agency (NSA) veteran David Wilcox as Vice President of Business Development for Federal Government.
"Data loss prevention solutions, key-stroke loggers and screen-capture technologies have failed to reduce insider threat risks or stop data breaches. Wide-spread use of these technologies has amounted to a declaration of war on our most trusted insiders by turning them into suspects, invading their privacy and limiting their productivity," said Christy Wyatt, CEO of Dtex Systems. "The market recognizes that the intelligence we provide is the best way to understand what is taking place in environments and to address insider threat risks. In head-to-head comparisons, our ability to provide scalability and ease of use, complete visibility over behaviors taking place on and off networks, and protection for user privacy continues to win us deals. We are thrilled by the adoption and support we are receiving from our customers, we are on track for another record year."
New Hires
As the new CFO, Tuck will play a key role in leading the company through a period of rapid expansion, highlighted by record growth, new customer wins, and increased demand for user behavior intelligence and insider threat detection. Tuck says the cybersecurity industry will continue to experience explosive growth and that Dtex is positioned to capitalize on the rising market. Tuck was attracted to Dtex due to its world-class leadership team, commitment to product excellence, phenomenal growth, and successful business model. Prior to Dtex, she served in multiple leadership roles at BlackBerry, Good Technology, Sunrun and Verisign. She holds a BS in accounting from San Jose State University.
As Vice President of Business Development for Federal Government, Wilcox will help the government team handle surging demand from this sector, which recognizes the critical need for technologies that defend against the insider threat and reduce national security risks. As a 37-year NSA veteran, who served under the leadership of four administrations and through major changes in federal security organizations, Wilcox has helped the nation to prioritize cybersecurity efforts and technologies in use. He decided to join Dtex due to its product effectiveness, stellar feedback from customers, and the critical need for the fed to address the insider threat. Wilcox retired from NSA service as a Special Assistant to the Deputy National Manager for National Security Systems. Prior to that, he served as the Cybersecurity Director for the DISA Cyber Development Directorate.
