DTE Pipeline Co. announces Bluestone interconnection
DETROIT, May 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- DTE Pipeline Co. announced it has placed the northern portion of the Bluestone Project which interconnects with Millennium Pipeline in New York into service.
The 44.5 mile pipeline can transport up to 600,000 Mcf/day combined to both the Millennium Pipeline in Broome County, New York and the Tennessee Gas Pipeline in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. The southern portion of Bluestone which interconnects with Tennessee Pipeline went into service on November 28, 2012.
Bluestone will also be transitioning its operations team into its new operations building in New Milford, PA this week.

DTE has invested approximately $400 Million in their Bluestone Pipeline and Gathering system to date. During peak construction, Bluestone created about 1,000 construction jobs.
Bluestone Gathering is being developed as the Bluestone Pipeline Co. of Pennsylvania LLC, Bluestone Gas Corp. of New York Inc. and Susquehanna Gathering Company I LLC, all of which are wholly owned subsidiaries of DTE Pipeline Company, an affiliate of DTE Energy. Bluestone is DTE's first natural gas gathering project outside Michigan. DTE Pipeline also is a 40 percent owner of the Vector Pipeline, 26.25 percent of the Millennium Pipeline and 33 percent of the recently announced Nexus Gas Transmission System.
