DTE launches new Corporate Citizenship Report

DETROIT, Sept. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- DTE Energy (NYSE: DTE) released its new Corporate Citizenship report, which highlights the company's commitment to the communities we serve, strong financial growth and environmental stewardship. 

The 40-page report, entitled "A Force for Growth & Prosperity," illustrates DTE's corporate citizenship in a transparent and balanced way, underscoring our successes while recognizing the challenges we face.

The report provides key information about DTE Energy programs and performance across a wide range of topics that are important to our company's future.

• DTE Energy's strategy for keeping electric and gas rates affordable while moving toward a cleaner generation mix, including the retirement of some coal-fired plants, and renewing the gas delivery infrastructure
• An 86 percent projected reduction in mercury, 59 percent projected reduction in nitrogen oxides and 79 percent projected reduction in sulfur dioxide from 2007-2018
• DTE's commitment to spend $1 billion with Michigan suppliers through the Pure Michigan Business Connect by the end of 2015
• More than $10 million in grants provided by the DTE Energy Foundation in 2013
