DTE Energy subsidiary issues RFP for natural gas generation facility
DETROIT, June 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- DTE Energy subsidiary DTE Electric (DTE) today issued a Request for Proposal ("RFP") to solicit bids for the company to acquire an operational natural gas simple and/or combined cycle generating plant.
DTE would purchase, own and operate the facility, which must have Unforced Capacity, as defined by MISO, of at least 50 megawatts. DTE is pursuing this RFP process as an approach to meeting its future MISO resource adequacy requirements. MISO is a regional electric transmission organization that provides grid management and access to transmission facilities.
Notices of Intent to Bid are due by June 9, 2014 and bids are due at 5 p.m. EDT July 11, 2014. More information about the RFP can be obtained at www.dte-rfp.com. Charles River Associates is hosting this site and monitoring the RFP process on behalf of DTE.
