DTE Energy offers training for customer rep positions
Entry level positions may be available upon completion
DETROIT, June 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- DTE Energy (NYSE: DTE) is starting a new Boot Camp to train people to become Customer Care Representatives in the company's Contact Center in Detroit.
The Contact Center Boot Camp will run from Aug. 4-29 at MIAT College of Technology in Canton. There are 30 available seats for training with a potential for employment upon the training's completion. While there is no guarantee of employment, Boot Camp students who successfully complete the training will receive a Certificate of Completion from MIAT.
The coursework will cover DTE Energy's pre-employment occupational specific training for the entry level customer care representative.
Those interested should have at least a high school diploma and one year of customer call center experience in a high-volume environment. In addition, candidates must have professional oral and written communication skills with a good speaking voice.
Candidates also must have the ability to identify and resolve customer complaints and payment problems while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.
