DTE Energy issues a Request for Information (RFI) for its Appliance Recycling Program
DETROIT, May 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- DTE Energy is seeking an Implementation Contractor to deliver an Appliance Recycling program for its electric customers.
The Appliance Recycling program removes inefficient working refrigerators and freezers from the electric grid and recycles 95% of the appliance.
The successful contractor will develop an appointment scheduling tool for DTE collect and transport working refrigerators and freezers from residential customer locations to the recycling location and electronically record the chain of custody of each appliance from time of collection through the de-manufacture process.
In addition, DTE requires the contractor to legally de-manufacture and recycle all collected appliance components and provide a work management system to track and report program information.
