Densmore, who joined Droga5 in 2010 from Integrated Beverage Group, where he was Chief Marketing Officer, will focus on agency growth and expanding Droga5's client portfolio, marking a strategic investment for the agency in new business leadership.
"Mike's extensive experience in business development, alongside his drive and passion for great work, made him an easy choice for this role," said Essex. "As we look to evolve our business and expand our portfolio, we're thrilled to have Mike leading the charge."
Densmore was one of the original partners at Modernista, where he was Director of New Business & Account Service for the first five years of the agency's existence. There, he led the growth of the agency from seven employees to over 140 in just three years. Under Mike's new business leadership, Modernista became the Agency of Record for Gap, MTV, Converse, Napster, HUMMER, and TIAA-CREF.
Densmore's 20 years of marketing and advertising experience also includes stints as Arnold Worldwide's Chief Talent Officer, Senior Partner and Global Business Director at JWT, and Management Supervisor at Wieden+Kennedy, where he oversaw Nike's North American business.
"After five years of impressive growth and an unyielding commitment to creative excellence, Droga5 is well positioned to navigate the changes ahead for our industry, " Densmore said. "Our next step will be building a strategic roadmap to best articulate our brand, solidify our position as an industry innovator, and target wider business opportunities. I can't wait to get started."
