In her role as chief product officer, Shiffman will focus on realizing DriveScale's mission to radically transform the way data-intensive applications are deployed in the data center enabling cloud-like scale and agility at a significantly lower cost. She is responsible for expanding the company's products, solutions and market position by building on DriveScale's early market success in the emerging composable infrastructure space.
Leading analyst firm IDC, forecasts that the market for Composable Infrastructure will grow at a CAGR of 58.2% and reach $4.7B by 2023 as enterprises adopt next-generation infrastructure. Shiffman joins DriveScale to bring her considerable technical and strategic expertise to shape the growth and trajectory of the Composable Infrastructure space.
"I've been in the business of enterprise IT for most of my career – but only once or twice in a career do you get the chance to truly create and define a new category – which is what DriveScale is doing with Composable Infrastructure. Creating high scale, high performance infrastructure via software intelligence is truly compelling," said Shiffman. "The breadth and depth of technology expertise in the DriveScale team is also a big attraction."
Over the course of her career, Shiffman has successfully capitalized on unmet customer needs, launching over 30 enterprise products that have generated more than $2 billion in revenue. In previous roles at Fortune 500 companies, she was responsible for growing a switching product line 10-fold into a market leading portfolio, reinventing a cybersecurity product family to shift years of negative returns to growth, and transforming entire company brands. In addition to her contributions to these companies, Shiffman is also the author of 2008 award-winning book, The Age of Engage: Reinventing Marketing for Today's Connected, Collaborative, and Hyperinteractive Culture, which dives into the digital transformation of business, and was endorsed by then-Google CEO, Eric Schmidt.
"With a strong ability to pull concrete insights from customer needs, Denise has been able to drive product evolution to significantly accelerate both revenue growth and customer satisfaction," said Gene Banman, CEO at DriveScale. "Her technical expertise and intuitive sense for product strategy make her a great addition to our strong leadership team as we enter our next phase of driving composable infrastructure in the industry."
