Drinks Americas KAH® Tequila Wins Double Gold at San Francisco World Spirits Competition

RIDGEFIELD, Conn., April 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Drinks Americas Holdings, Ltd., ("Drinks") (OTCBB: DKAM), a leading developer and marketer of beverage products, is pleased to announce that it's KAH® Tequila Blanco, Reposado and Anejo have won Double Gold Awards at this year's San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

The San Francisco World Spirits Competition held its annual Packaging Competition at the Hotel Nikko on Friday, March 23rd. Four judges considered the bottle designs and packaging appeal of 165 entries. Clare Kuo of Clare Kuo design, Jim Moon of Jim Moon Design, Joel Blum, the Competition's in-house graphic designer, and Kevin Shaw of Stranger & Stranger awarded KAH® Tequila individual Double Gold Awards for its "skull" Blanco, Reposado, and Anejo Tequila as well as a Double Gold for the entire KAH® Tequila series.

Last month, KAH® Tequila received awards at The Ultimate Spirits Challenge held in New York City, as KAH® Tequila Anejo received a score of 93, an "Excellent, Highly Recommended" accolade, and KAH® Tequila Reposado 110 Proof scored 90, also with an accolade of "Excellent, Highly Recommended". KAH® Tequila previously was voted "Best of the Best" by Tequila.net, received multiple awards for taste in all styles at the Spirits International Prestige Competition with KAH® Extra Anejo receiving the Platinum Award for Best in Class, and the KAH® TEQUILA SERIES received Platinum Award for Best in Class for Package Design. In addition to those awards, The Spirits of Mexico Tasting Competition judged KAH® Tequila Best of Category with a Gold Medal for KAH® Anejo, a Gold Medal for KAH® Blanco and a Bronze Medal KAH® Reposado 110 Proof.
