Drillinginfo Names Rich Herrmann to Executive Leadership Team
Former IHS VP to lead Drillinginfo's E&P business development
AUSTIN, Texas, June 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Drillinginfo, a data and analytics provider that helps the oil and gas industry achieve better, faster results, today announced the appointment of Rich Herrmann as Senior Vice President and General Manager of E&P Products & Corporate Development.
Reporting directly to CEO Allen Gilmer and COO Ed Perry, Herrmann will lead Drillinginfo's business development in the upstream oil & gas industry, with a focus on operating companies worldwide. Herrmann will be responsible for managing Drillinginfo's upstream E&P platform solutions that serve domestic and international operators, involving product development, sales, and marketing. In this role, Herrmann will provide leadership and vision to globally expand Drillinginfo's commercial activities within the E&P sector.

Herrmann will be based out of Drillinginfo's Littleton, CO office. Prior to joining Drillinginfo, he held several high level roles at IHS Inc., including Vice President, Geosciences; Vice President, Global Platforms and Technology; and Vice President, Global Information Access. Previously he held a variety of senior management positions with TGS-NOPEC, Petroleum Place and GeoGraphix. Herrmann started his career as a petroleum geophysicist with Chevron in California.

Herrmann holds a Bachelor of Science in Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences from MIT and a Master of Science in Exploration Geophysics from Stanford University.
