Driehaus Museum Announces Fall Lineup of Tiffany Tours and Exhibition-Related Programs

CHICAGO, Sept. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In concert with its exhibition Louis Comfort Tiffany: Treasures from the Driehaus Collection, which opens September 28, the Driehaus Museum will offer public programs to deepen the enjoyment of the artist's unparalleled talent.

Exhibition-related programs and tours are as follows:

Tiffany Travel Tours (Saturdays, October–December): Join an expert Museum guide and travel by private motor bus to explore Tiffany's legacy in Chicago.

Mastery in Glass (Saturdays, 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m.) Experience Tiffany's artistry and legacy in Chicago with private guided tours of three distinctive locations: the Driehaus Museum exhibition, historic Second Presbyterian Church, and Driehaus Gallery of Stained Glass on Navy Pier.

From Calla Lilies to Cathedrals (Saturdays, 12:30–3 p.m.) Spend an afternoon with Tiffany in situ!  After a private guided tour of the Museum's special exhibition, you will visit National Historic Landmark Second Presbyterian Church.

Tiffany at Twilight Tours (First and third Tuesdays starting October 1, 6:30 p.m.): Enjoy our newly extended evening hours and an exhibition highlights tour to discover Gilded Age America's seminal artist as twilight descends.

Curator's Lecture: Tiffany in Chicago (September 29): Following his great success at the World's Columbian Exposition of 1893, Louis Comfort Tiffany became a household name in Chicago. Expanding on his essay in the exhibition catalogue, Curator David A. Hanks presents insights into Tiffany's impact on Chicago.

Louis Comfort Tiffany: The Artist and His Legacy (November 16): This one-day symposium features distinguished guest speakers who will explore the artistry and legacy of Louis Comfort Tiffany.
