Dreamit Partners With Industry Leaders To Expand First Customer Network
Merck, Mount Sinai, Blackboard and NYC Department of Ed Among Newest Dreamit Partners
Applications Now Open for EdTech & Digital Health Tracks
NEW YORK, June 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading global startup accelerator Dreamit announced today new partnerships with companies across multiple industries to enhance its proven accelerator program, adding value for startups on their journey from seed stage to Series A.
The following companies are now part of Dreamit's First Customer Network, designed to connect startups with the critical commercial feedback they need to de-risk their products and services and expose them early on to a range of potential customers and partners:
- EdTech: Penn State University, Blackboard, Drexel University, George Mason University, University System of Maryland, Strayer Education, Innovate by iZone NYC and Edison Schools, Barrack Hebrew Academy and Lehigh University
- Digital Health: Xerox Healthcare, Becton-Dickinson, Merck, Pfizer, Penn Medicine, Independence Blue Cross (IBX), Jefferson University, Temple Health, Universal Health Services (UHS), Digitas Health and Zimmer Biomet
Throughout the 14 week accelerator program, First Customer Network members will host Dreamit startups on-site for Customer Immersions, "Shark Tank" style fast-pitch events that bring together key decision-makers from across the organization to evaluate startups. Consistent with Dreamit's long-standing customer-centric model, the multi-customer approach offers startups the benefits of a corporate accelerator without the limitations, engaging dozens of companies from the same industry to create a true marketplace for established industry players and startups to explore partnership opportunities.
"Dreamit is dedicated to stacking the deck in favor of our startups," said Dreamit CEO Avi Savar. "The more potential customers we can expose them to, the greater their chances of achieving scale and raising a meaningful Series A. While many programs today are focused on a single customer, potentially steering very early-stage startups too far in one direction, we're presenting mature startups with a deeper selection of potential customers therefore increasing the possibility of early pilots and new revenue."
Dreamit is now accepting applications for 2016 Fall EdTech and Digital Health programs. Click here for more information and to apply.
