Dream Exchange Celebrates Black Entrepreneurship at the National Black Business Conference in Atlanta
CHICAGO, Oct. 3, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Dream Exchange recently participated in the National Black Business Conference held in Atlanta from August 21 to August 25, 2024. The event, spearheaded by the National Business League, and co-hosted in partnership by the National Alliance for Black Business and its co-founders, the National Black Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) and the World Conference of Mayors, brought together prominent Black business leaders, entrepreneurs, and advocates to discuss strategies for economic empowerment.
Dream Exchange Founder and CEO Joe Cecala spoke at both a press conference prior to, and at, the panel discussion regarding relevant issues involving Women in Trade. He also discussed funding challenges for minority-owned businesses on the Access to Capital panel. Mr. Cecala also participated in the NBCC caucus, discussing policies that support economic growth.
A highlight of the conference was the Booker T. Washington Black Business Awards Gala, where Dream Exchange's 'Dream Again' anthem, written by world renowned saxophonist Mike Phillips and performed by Sarah Ikumu, moved the audience with its message of hope. Lorri Dotson received the NBCC & Dream Exchange Entrepreneurship Award and a $25,000 check, recognizing her business achievements and Dream Exchange's commitment to supporting Black Entrepreneurs.
