Draftfcb Hosts 7th In-House Supplier Diversity Fair, This Time in Chicago
CHICAGO, Nov. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, Nov. 9, Draftfcb will host its seventh supplier diversity vendor fair, this one to be held in the agency's Chicago offices. During this event, certified small, minority- and women-owned businesses will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with agency decision-makers regarding Draftfcb's business requirements and specific client needs.
The purpose of this event is to identify minority vendors specializing in the following disciplines: broadcast, interactive and digital production, 2D/3D animation, music, and translation services.
Since its first vendor fair in 2008, Draftfcb employees have interviewed more than 300 suppliers in New York, Chicago and San Francisco, and awarded contracts totaling $495 million.
Senior executives representing agency client MillerCoors – Eva Milko, director of procurement development and Jamie Westfahl, strategic sourcing manager for advertising & marketing – will address the gathering. Draftfcb Chicago EVP, Managing Director Karen Sauder will also be on hand to share her insights with attendees on how best to engage with the agency.
"With this, our seventh fair, our commitment to supplier diversity – and minority vendors – remains as strong as ever," said Keisha Vaughn, senior director of leadership development and diversity & inclusion at Draftfcb. "With these events, we also show our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive agency environment, which translates into how we conduct business on behalf of our clients."
Also in attendance will be representatives from the Chicago chapters of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and the Women's Business Development Center (WBDC).
Nancy Murray, vice president, director of procurement of Draftfcb, added, "To maintain our standard of excellence in presenting quality work to prospective and existing clients, it's vital that we continue to expand and diversify our vendor partners. Through this and future supplier diversity fairs, we will build upon our relationships with this community."
