Dr. Wayne Hachey Joins Protein Sciences' Leadership Team

MERIDEN, Conn., Feb. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Protein Sciences Corporation announced today that Wayne Hachey, DO (Colonel, U.S. Army, ret.) has joined the Company's management as Head, Government and Clinical Affairs.  Dr. Hachey is a physician who has dedicated 28 years of service to the military healthcare system, including six years as a subject matter expert advising senior Department of Defense (DoD) leadership regarding the DoD's vaccine policy.  He was also responsible for developing the overarching DoD mitigation response to pandemic influenza and directed the implementation of that policy during the 2009 H1N1 pandemic.  Most recently, Dr. Hachey served as the Chief of Public Health for the 1^st Medical Brigade in Afghanistan where he provided public health leadership to protect over 98,000 U.S. troops.  He is board certified in Public Health, Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and has won numerous awards, including the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, NATO (Afghanistan) and Afghanistan Campaign Medal and Unit Combat Patch.
