Dr. Thomas J. Reid, III, M.D., Ph.D., FACP, is recognized by Continental Who's Who among Pinnacle Professionals

MISHAWAKA, Ind., Jan. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Thomas J. Reid, III, M.D., Ph.D., FACP, is recognized by Continental Who's Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Medicine as a result of his role as Medical Director of the Regional Cancer Center at Memorial South Bench.

Dr. Reid worked in the Army Medical Corps for twenty seven years before retiring in 2008 as a full Colonel and operated a private practice in the years after. In his current capacity, Dr. Reid works closely with medical aspects including oncology, hematology, cancer, clinical research and trials, public health, and more.

Furthermore, he is Board Certified in Medical Oncology, Internal Medicine and Hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and acts as the principal investigator for cancer clinical trials through the Mayo Clinic with Alliance.

To keep up with the latest innovations in medicine, Dr. Reid maintains affiliation with the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Medical Association, American Society of Hematology, American College of Physicians, and the American Cancer Association. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), and is the Chairperson of the Memorial Cancer Care Committee. In his spare time, Dr. Reid enjoys hiking, biking, and sailing.

He received his MD from the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and holds a Ph.D in Biochemistry from Purdue University, as well as a BS in Microbiology from Pennsylvania State University.
