Sponsored by Waterford Institute™, EETC Offers a New Education Track Focused on Teaching and Learning.
SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Salt Lake City, Utah, has been selected to host the second annual Early Education and Technology for Children (EETC) conference on March 14-16, 2012, at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center.
EETC is an annual conference that brings researchers, policy makers, administrators, educators, and practitioners together to present and discuss research and applications in the areas of preschool through elementary education. Earlier this year, over 150 guests and presenters from around the world attended EETC 2011, to learn from each other's expertise and share their insights on applications that will help make a difference in the education of young children.
New for 2012, EETC is offering two separate tracks designed to address the interests of both researchers and educators. The Research/Evaluation Track will focus on the latest educational research and findings, and the Teaching/Learning Track will focus on real-world technology solutions for educators and students. The various topics, including those focused on emerging technologies and interactive learning environments, support professional development programs in early learning.
Submissions for both the Research/Evaluation and the Teaching/Learning Tracks are currently being accepted through November 2, 2011. To submit a proposal, visit www.eetcconference.org and click on "Register."
Keynote speakers at the conference will include Dr. Susan Landry, Founder and Director of the Children's Learning Institute, and Dr. Douglas Clements, author of Early Childhood Mathematics Education Research: Learning Trajectories for Young Children.
In addition, EETC will host featured speakers Dr. Chip Donohue, Director of Distance Learning at Erikson Institute, Dr. Michael Levine, Founding Director of the Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop, Dr. Brad Wilcox, Professor of Education at Brigham Young University and author of the Annie McRae children's books, and Dr. Dustin Heuston, chairman, founder, and CEO of Waterford Institute, and author of The Third Source: A Message of Hope for Education.
EETC is sponsored by Waterford Institute, a nonprofit educational software company based in Salt Lake City, UT.
"It is an honor to once again be part of this innovative and influential conference," said Dr. Benjamin Heuston, President and COO of Waterford Institute. "This is a unique opportunity for educators and researchers to share ideas on cutting-edge research as well as practical applications on the education of young children."
