Dr. Stephen D. Campbell Honored by the American College of Prosthodontists Education Foundation
UIC Educator Recognized for Philanthropic Efforts
CHICAGO, Dec. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The American College of Prosthodontists Education Foundation (ACPEF) is proud to announce Stephen D. Campbell, DDS, MMSc, FACP, as the recipient of the 2018 Founders Society Award. This award recognizes those who have made a significant impact on the growth and development of the Foundation, which secures resources to advance the specialty of prosthodontics.

Throughout his career, Dr. Campbell has been dedicated to improving dental education and standards of care. He served on the ACPEF Board of Directors for over 12 years, including time as chair, and led fundraising initiatives that secured resources for pivotal projects. This includes the Digital Dentistry Curriculum initiative, implant education, and advocacy for dental specialty residents, faculty and private practitioners.

Dr. Campbell is a tenured professor, director of the Implant and Innovations Center, and director of the Center for Digital Excellence at the University of Illinois as Chicago. He served as head of the Department of Restorative Dentistry from 1992 to 2018. He is a past president of the ACP, and the American Board of Prosthodontics (ABP). Dr. Campbell has also served as Prosthodontics Commissioner with the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association.
