Dr. Shane N.O. Williams Joins Egon Zehnder International North American and Global Life Sciences Practice

NEW YORK, Nov. 17, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Shane N.O. Williams, has joined Egon Zehnder International as a core member of the firm's North American and Global Life Sciences Practice, it was announced today by Alan Hilliker, Managing Partner of the firm's New York office. He will focus on the international executive search firm's pharmaceutical clients in both the R&D and commercial areas.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder International, Shane Williams held numerous high-profile positions with Elan Pharmaceuticals including General Manager of Pain BU, where he lead a team in specialty sales, marketing and distribution; Vice President & Head of Commercial Strategy, where he was responsible for forecasting, market research, sales force strategy, market analytics and pricing; and Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Business Development. Williams was a core member of The Boston Consulting Group's Healthcare Practice where he received the "Health Care Practice Area Award for Client Impact" (2003).

Dr. Williams, originally from the United Kingdom, graduated with first-class honors from University of Manchester with a BSc in Biochemistry in 1991. He completed his PhD from University of Cambridge in 1996. From 1996 to 1999, Shane did a post doctoral fellowship at the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology where he did research in the area of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.

Dr. Williams lives with his wife in New Jersey.
