ITHACA, N.Y., Feb. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Dr. Noren, an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon from Ithaca, NY, has been a health care provider for nearly two decades and served the US Army for six years until 2003. He grew up in the Chicago area, and through military and educational training has lived in very diverse communities, North and South. He has a wife and four children, two of which reside at home including one with special needs.
Dr. Noren is focusing especially on health care issues bringing to the table innovative ideas to immediately jumpstart affordability and accessibility options. He has worked on the opioid issue with completely unique ideas to address this nationally and locally. He has been a Teamsters provider for 12+ years and a living wage employer for a decade. "Without affordable health care, living wage jobs in NY and nationwide will not grow." Dr. Noren is an advocate of a single payer health care system with good balances and checks.
Another main area of emphasis of his is job creation through business interest free business loans heavily vetted and other ways that allow startups to prosper. He has written a proposal to cap student loan interest at 3% and do away with compounding interest during forbearance and deferment periods. Lastly, he is passionate and persistent about true campaign finance reform. According to Dr. Noren, "Senators and Representatives should not be on a Committee and receive any donations from sectors they oversee on that Committee." Dr. Noren said that "although it takes money to campaign, millions of dollars are wasted yearly on campaigns that could be used to stimulate job growth here domestically."
