Dr. Joel Sokol and David Eckoff Join the CSA Advisory Board

Dr. Joel Sokol is an associate professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering and who specializes in sports modeling. Dr. Sokol's research interests include operations research and its application in a wide variety of areas, from logistics, manufacturing, and network design to biology, social logistics, and sports modeling. Dr. Sokol's LRMC method (predictive modeling for the NCAA basketball tournament) has been featured in the New York Times, CNN and ESPN.

He also negotiated deals with FOX Sports, ESPN, CSTV, CBS television and more. Before joining Real, Eckoff was Senior Vice-President at Rivals.com, a 180-employee start-up funded by Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, Softbank, Intel, and News Corporation (Fox). While at Rivals, he developed the Rivals.com branded sports news network destination and grew its audience from startup to 1.5 million users per month.
