Dr. Guttman, Invited Expert Panelist for America Invents Act Webinar Entitled "What Biomedical Companies & Entrepreneurs Need to Know"

Guttman, Patent Attorney with Stipkala LLC, was an invited patent law expert for the February 23rd panel-discussion webinar on the America Invents Act sponsored by BioOhio.  The webinar, presented from a biomedical inventor perspective, provided information on key rules and provisions of the Act including the new first-to-file rule, prior art, and several new post-grant review procedures.  Dr. Guttman's presentation focused on the AIA effective dates for Section 102 and on the strategic implications of these dates.  Dr. Guttman highlighted how companies and technology transfer offices can design and time patent filings to best protect their intellectual property interests.
