ABOUT DR. DAVID P. SMITH

Dr. Smith has had more than 30 years of experience in the dental field.  He specializes in family dentistry including serving patients with special needs as well as providing cosmetic, adult and pediatric dental services.  He is the co-owner of Smith & Smith Family Dentistry with his brother, Dr. Stephen Smith.  Their practice is located in Oliver Springs, Tennessee.  Dr. Smith received a B.S. in Chemistry, from Tennessee Tech University in 1973, an M.S. in Microbiology, from East Tennessee State University in 1978 and a D.D.S. with Honors, from the University of Tennessee in Memphis, in 1983.  He has published three articles for the Oak Ridge National Laboratories.  Dr. Smith is a member of Donated Dental Services, the American Dental Association and the Tennessee Dental Association.  He currently resides in Knoxville, Tennessee with his wife, Debbie, where he enjoys family activities with his four children and two grandchildren, mission work with the Knoxville Central Baptist Church, watching college football and basketball and playing golf.
