ROSWELL, N.M., May 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Daniel Lyman Ridout, III, MD, AGAF, FACP is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a 2017 Pinnacle Physician of The Year in the field of Healthcare as a result of his role as Chief of Gastroenterology at Eastern New Mexico Gastroenterology.
With over thirty years of experience in the healthcare industry, Dr. Ridout is a trusted authority on all aspects of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Ridout's professional experience began as an Internist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this position, he realized his passion for working in the field of Gastroenterology and decided to pursue this subset further. Throughout his time in Philadelphia, Dr. Ridout was inspired by working with the minority community in underserved areas, and continued on his mission to serve the general public with the highest quality medical care possible.

Overseeing the Gastroenterology department, Dr. Ridout specializes in educating patients on prevention and medical options, community-based medicine, gastroenterology procedures, consultations, clinical care, and mentoring residents and medical school students.
Dr. Ridout says the most rewarding aspect of his career is the ability to combine the humanistic, the business and skill aspects of medicine and putting it all together to develop a successful product. He feels there is a responsibility for the gifts, skills and talents that have been given to him in order to improve humanity. Another accomplishment of his was his graduation ceremony of medical school. Seeing the pride on his parents' faces was an unforgettable experience that is permanently etched into his mind. Dr. Ridout's greatest mentor, his father, raised him to believe that humanity and being productive in society was more important than anything, and he continues to live by that philosophy every day.
In his spare time, he enjoys listening to music, boating, choral singing, and conducting choirs. In addition to healthcare, Dr. Ridout has an interest in the arts and music, and has been active in philanthropic activities such as the preservation of the arts, which he has been involved with for many years.
Throughout his educational career, Dr. Ridout earned his MD from the University of Cincinnati and attained Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. As a result of his dedication and professionalism, Dr. Ridout serves as a Fellow with the American College of Physicians, and is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association. In addition, Dr. Ridout extends his scope of interest to the community at large, maintaining charitable ties to the Sylvia Olden Music Guild, American Cancer Society, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the National Association of Negro Musicians, Inc.
Dr. Ridout is also involved with the Arts Council Eastern Shore of Virginia Advisory Board where he utilizes a community- based business model for new ventures at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. In this capacity, he administers enhanced methods of efficiency, profitability and cost effective, quality healthcare.
Looking into the future, Dr. Ridout would like to become a director of musical ensembles and become involved in musical composition and orchestration in the future.
