Dr. Bruce Gould To Lead RainTree Oncology Advisory Board As Community Oncology Preps For Further Reforms
SAN DIEGO, Sept. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As community oncologists brace for further changes in the delivery of cancer care, RT Oncology Services Corporation announced incoming leadership of its Advisory Board, a group active in shaping the Company's clinical direction and network strategies aimed at providing member practices with access to services, tools and resources that advance practice performance and patient care.
Dr. Bruce Gould, a nationally recognized innovator in community oncology, has been elected chairman of the RT Oncology Services Corporation Advisory Board. In this role he will chair a group of physician and administrative leaders from several of the nation's leading community oncology practices.

Dr. Gould, medical director at Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers (NGOC), P.C., has advocated tirelessly on behalf of community-based cancer practices nationwide. Recently, he provided leadership for the development of an oncology medical home model pilot program designed to sustain the health and accessibility of community-based oncology practices and uphold quality measures, accountability and patient satisfaction.
Specializing in head and neck cancers, Dr. Gould has provided cancer care and treatment for all types of cancer patients in Marietta, Ga. since 1990 and was one of the founding partners of NGOC.
Dr. Gould currently serves as vice president of the Community Oncology Alliance (COA), a national advocacy non-profit organization for cancer patients and their oncologists to help protect and foster the community oncology delivery system in the United States and protect patients' access to quality and affordable care.
