Dozens of mHealth Startups go Head to Head for Funding Round

mHealth, Israel's Top Digital Health Conference, Offers Likely Round of OurCrowd Funding to Startup Competition Winner
The second annual mHealth Israel conference (December 15, 2014), geared towards startups in digital health, will include a contest offering a potential round of funding from OurCrowd plus $10,000 in business services. More than 50 Israeli and global Health-Tech startups are expected to apply, with registration open, now through December 1, 2014, to companies with a working prototype and up to $1.5 million in funding.
Finalists will present at mHealth Israel before a panel of C-level judges from companies including Walgreens, Sony and Orange. The contest's winner and runner-up each receive $10,000 in services such as legal, technical, IP, hardware, software, media relations, and more.
"Israel is a world leader in digital healthcare technologies," said mHealth lead organizer Levi Shapiro. "There are more than 200 digital health startups in Israel, and funding reached record levels in 2014. This contest, conference, hackathon and other related events connects promising entrepreneurs with senior healthcare industry executives from eight countries."
Last year's winner, MobileOCT, a company that uses mobile phones to detect cancer, went on to win the Vodaphone Americas foundation 2014 Wireless Innovation Project prize and the Elevator World Tour: Tel Aviv, 2014.
