Dozens of homes among 90 bank-owned properties selling at absolute auction in Georgia
ATLANTA, Oct. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 50 Georgia homes will sell at absolute auction in a trio of upcoming events in McDonough, Americus and Brunswick. John Dixon & Associates is managing the auctions, which will also include commercial properties and land.
The auctions are set for Nov. 18, 19 and 20.
"I can't remember the last time we had so many houses in a group of sales. The timing is good for these, because there is a lot of demand – not only for rental units, but also for homes to renovate and flip. Every single home will sell absolute, with no minimum bid or reserve," said John Dixon, president of the auction company.
Many of the properties are clustered in the Macon and Camden County areas, with other concentrations around Columbus, Americus and Tifton.
The properties being sold also will include a commercial office building in Woodstock, as well as commercial and residential land in Camden County.
The first of the three events will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Hilton Garden Inn in McDonough, with the sale of 29 properties, including 16 homes.
The second group of 42 properties, including 27 homes, will be sold in an auction beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Windsor Hotel, in Americus. The series will conclude with the Brunswick auction of 29 properties concentrated in the southeast corner of the state, including five homes and a home site on Osprey Cove Golf Club in St. Marys. The Brunswick sale will begin at 11 a.m. At the Embassy Suites in Brunswick.
