Dow Jones Companies & Executives Offers Advanced Business Intelligence Within Salesforce CRM
New version provides tools and enhancements to nurture customer relationships and mine prospects
NEW YORK, May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The latest update of Dow Jones Companies & Executives version 3.0, integrated with Salesforce CRM, is available from Salesforce Appexchange.
Customers are now able to test drive the application, formerly known as Dow Jones SalesWorks, to experience Dow Jones Companies & Executives' world class business news, company and executive information. With access to more than 18 million public and private company profiles and 36 million executive profiles from the world's most trusted news from a global collection of 28,000 sources, including The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones and Reuters newswires, sales and marketing professionals will be able to leverage this wealth of information to make faster, better decisions.
Users can research prospects and customers with Dow Jones Companies & Executives, and subsequently update their Account, Lead and Contact records in Salesforce CRM with the latest information, including business descriptions, annual revenue, number of employees, address, phone and fax numbers, URL, ticker symbol and SIC code.
This release also brings with it a variety of new features, including 'Smart Look-up' which offers predictive text results to simplify typing. The executive area now includes a name variation option, access to the executives associated with the extended company universe and consolidated executive search.
New administrator capabilities include a tabbed layout for easier navigation of fields, easy access to set up organization-wide preferences, and a new advanced customization option that allows individual users to override the organization-wide preferences. Leads can also be imported directly from the top level executive view within a Company Snapshot.
"Anyone responsible for business relationships understands the importance of having accurate and timely information," stated Jimmy Becker, vice president, Dow Jones & Company. "With Dow Jones Companies & Executives now easily integrating with Salesforce CRM, sales teams will find increased value and efficiencies with Salesforce CRM."
"Our most recent survey of over 2,800 companies found that only 39.7% of firms surveyed reported a conversion rate of qualified leads to first calls of greater than 50%," said Jim Dickie, managing partner, CSO Insights. "Sales people need to come up with compelling reasons for prospects to want to talk with them. Solutions like Dow Jones Companies & Executives give reps the insights into the prospect's marketplace, the company itself, and all the key stakeholders who may be part of the decision process, which is critical if they are going to develop effective strategies to first get in the game and ultimately win."
Existing customers using SalesWorks for Salesforce will need to upgrade their application to access the new capabilities, which can be downloaded at "Get it Now" on the Dow Jones Appexchange page. A handy User Guide is also available. Customizations the customer has created within their account records will be unaffected.
New customers have two options on the Salesforce Appexchange. They can "Test Drive" the application directly from the website, which allows them to evaluate a limited version of the product so that they can see the level of content available. Or, administrators can download the application at "Get it Now." A special username and password will be required for installation but can be obtained by contacting Dow Jones, if they don't already have one.
In addition to integrating with Salesforce.com, the Dow Jones Companies & Executives product also includes a new mobile app that is accessible from any web-enabled smart phone. Front page industry news articles, which can be emailed, come with live links to the complete article as well as company snapshots and executive profiles. A new permanent search box also allows users to quickly search for current information on public and private companies, executives, by industry and by name or key word.
Other mobile enhancements include the ability to access customized Watch Lists and Company Lists. There are also multiple language interfaces, including English, French, Italian, German and Spanish.
Finally, there is a new API to integrate Dow Jones Companies & Executives content and capabilities into CRMs, intranet and enterprise portals and custom internal applications. Some key services that are now pre-packaged as enterprise widgets for rapid deployment include triggers, connections, simplified company and executive snapshots and company radar.
