Dow Jones Appoints David Chivers Vice President of Factiva Products
Newly Created Role to Focus on Expanding Factiva's Leading Market Position
NEW YORK, Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Dow Jones & Company has appointed David Chivers vice president, Factiva products. Mr. Chivers will have global responsibility for the strategy, development and management of the Dow Jones Factiva product portfolio and for Wall Street Journal Professional Edition offerings in the enterprise. In this newly created position, he will focus on expanding Factiva's leading market position by engaging with customers to elicit feedback that drives product enhancement and fuels revenue growth.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Chivers was executive director of WSJ.com and new products for The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, where he oversaw product development initiatives including mobile, social media and community, commerce, and email newsletters. Before joining The Wall Street Journal, he was director of online audience development for Meredith Corporation, where he was responsible for online audience management for the company's Web properties.

Mr. Chivers will be based in Princeton, New Jersey. He holds a bachelor's degree in English & Anthropology from Central College, a master's degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University and an M.B.A from the University of Iowa.
