NEW YORK, Dec. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Jon Pepper, president of the New York-based communications consultancy Indelable LLC, announced today that Douglas Kiker has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor with a focus on clients based in Washington, D.C.
"Douglas brings a remarkable record of achievement in communications," Pepper said. "His experience at CBS News and 60 Minutes, as a Managing Director at Kekst and Company, and as a strategic counselor to some of the world's leading companies, including many leading global banks and alternative investment firms, gives him a unique perspective on the myriad challenges faced by our clients."
Pepper added: "He is highly regarded for his intelligence, energy and communication skills. We are very glad to have him on our team."
"I am delighted to join Indelable," Kiker said. "Jon and I have worked together for more than a decade on some of the most complicated issues that America's leading corporations have faced, in good times and bad. I share Jon and his team's focus on client needs and supporting their strategies."
Pepper said Kiker's deep experience counseling some of the world's largest and most systemically important companies will provide Indelable with even deeper ability to provide true value-add counsel to clients.
Kiker's previous work included crisis communications, strategic planning, media and presentation training, crisis preparation and simulations, and media relations. As head of Kekst and Company's Media and Presentation Training Practice, Kiker coached C-suite executives in advance of national media appearances and interviews, Congressional testimony, litigation and other high-profile situations.
Kiker most recently was Chief Strategic Communications Officer at the Credit Union National Association. His experience also includes a stint as a reporter at the Associated Press – where he was a member of the Pulitzer Prize finalist team for public service for its coverage of the 2000 presidential election – and as an assistant producer at Fox News.
He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and holds a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Henry Clay Center for Statesmanship and is a former trustee for the Landon School. Kiker and his family live in Washington D.C.
