Douglas Emmett Obtains $115 Million Term Loan Fixed at 2.76%
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Dec. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Douglas Emmett, Inc. (NYSE:DEI), a real estate investment trust (REIT), announced that it has closed a secured, non-recourse $115 million interest only loan, which including borrower's five year extension option effectively matures in December 2025. The loan bears interest at a floating rate of Libor plus 1.25% and has been fixed at 2.76% per annum until December 2020 through an interest rate swap.
The new loan is secured by a pool of four of Douglas Emmett's multifamily properties that previously secured an $82 million loan due March 1, 2016 and an $18 million loan due June 1, 2017. Both of these loans have been fully paid off.
