Doug Rippey Joins The Newman Group, a Futurestep Company, as Workforce Planning Practice Leader
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 9, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Newman Group, a Futurestep Company and talent management consulting leader, today announced that Doug Rippey has joined the organization as Workforce Planning Practice Leader. In this role, he will oversee the continued development, expansion and delivery of The Newman Group's workforce planning solutions in the United States and Canada, as well as facilitation of Futurestep's workforce planning consulting operations for clients around the world.
Mr. Rippey is an accomplished consultant with expertise in workforce planning, recruiting strategies and systems development. Prior to The Newman Group, he was a Senior Workforce Planning Consultant at Towers Watson, where he served as a sales lead and project manager for workforce planning and talent management engagements.
The addition of Mr. Rippey as Workforce Planning Practice Leader reflects increased recognition of The Newman Group's expertise in this critical area of talent management. Over the past five years, the company has experienced significant growth in interest and demand for workforce planning related services. This growth in demand comes as the companies experience renewed pressure to build talent forecasting capability to navigate economic uncertainty. Workforce planning is also critical as a foundation to Integrated Talent Management initiatives undertaken by a growing number of companies served by The Newman Group, Futurestep and Korn/Ferry International.
"Through client successes and our thought leadership in the industry, The Newman Group has become a trusted resource for companies seeking to develop and refine their workforce planning capabilities," said Newman Group General Manager Kelly Cartwright. "Under Doug's direction, we look forward to continuing the growth of our workforce planning practice and expanding our role as a key partner in our clients' success."
Experts from The Newman Group continue to share their insight on workforce planning and other talent management strategy areas through webinars, conference presentations and publications. A workforce planning article by Newman Group expert Mitzi Adwell will be appearing in the ERE Journal of Corporate Recruiting Leadership in February. Mr. Rippey will lead a panel at the HCI Workforce Planning Conference in January and present at the HCI Annual Summit in April.
