Double Eagle Petroleum Mourns the Loss of Board Member David W. Wilson
DENVER, June 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Double Eagle Petroleum notes with sadness the death of board member David Wilson, who passed away on May 30. He had served on the Double Eagle Board of Directors since February 2011.
"Double Eagle, its Board of Directors, executives and employees are greatly saddened by the passing of a great friend and board member. The knowledge David brought to the board was invaluable. His contributions and leadership will be greatly missed but not forgotten," said Richard Dole, Double Eagle's Chairman, President and CEO.
David began his career in the oil and gas exploration industry over 47 years ago. In addition to serving on the Double Eagle board, David was also on the boards of Energen Corporation, and Santanna Energy Services.
David is survived by his wife of 51 years, two daughters, and grandchildren.
