Double-Digit Savings Now Available On a Visit to Cedar Point
SANDUSKY, Ohio, May 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Cedar Point is now offering some money-saving deals that make it a great time to get a jump on summertime fun!
With classes coming to a close, Cedar Point will be offering students a thrilling yet economical way to have an end-of-year celebration. During Student ID Weekend, Friday through Sunday, May 20-22, students (kindergarten through college) will be able to save $15 on a one-day ticket to the Sandusky, Ohio, amusement park/resort.
During this three-day event, students will be able to purchase a regular one-day ticket to the park for only $31.99, a savings of nearly 32 percent. To qualify for the discount, students must present a valid student ID at any of the park's cashier booths located near an entrance to the park.
For added fun, the park will also host a Scavenger Hunt during Student ID Weekend. Contestants with all the correct answers will have an opportunity to win several prize packages. The grand prize package, worth more than $240, includes a Samsung Fascinate 3G Smartphone and two tickets to Cedar Point.
Cedar Point also has several online deals that are now available. Through the end of May, Pick-a-Date tickets for a June visit can be purchased online at cedarpoint.com for only $32.99, a savings of $14 per ticket. The park is also offering a Mid-Week Saver. Guests can save $12 on visit to the park on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday now through June 30 by purchasing their tickets online.
With 74 rides, including 17 roller coasters, Cedar Point has more rides and more coasters than any park in the world. Among its unmatched coaster collection are Top Thrill Dragster that tops speeds of 120 mph, the 310-foot-tall Millennium Force and Magnum XL-200, a 20-story-tall coaster located along the Lake Erie shoreline.
For the little ones, Planet Snoopy and Camp Snoopy are two of four special areas that provide an abundance of entertainment that can be shared with Mom and Dad.
