doTERRA Welcomes Dr. Russell J. Osguthorpe, M.D., as New CMO
Dr. Osguthorpe succeeds doTERRA founding executive Dr. David Hill as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Hill remains Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Committee, continues his global mission to educate about essential oils, and chairs doTERRA's newly created Medical Executive Committee.

Osguthorpe, M.D. as its new Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of medical and scientific initiatives. Dr. Osguthorpe is an experienced medical executive trained in Pediatric Infectious Diseases, who comes to doTERRA from Intermountain Healthcare.

Prior to joining doTERRA, Dr. Osguthorpe was the Pediatric Medical Director and Pediatric Department Chair of a tertiary care hospital. For twenty years, Dr. Osguthorpe has been committed to providing patients high quality healthcare in a manner that is both compassionate and safe. He has established large multispecialty practices in many disciplines and has a wealth of expertise in leading change through teaming.

As CMO, Dr. Osguthorpe will report to Dave Stirling and Dr. Hill and lead doTERRA's healthcare and research teams. His direct reports include Dr. Brannick Riggs, M.D., Nicole Stevens MS, and Cody Beaumont, Ph.D. Dr. Riggs, doTERRA's VP of Healthcare Initiatives, will serve as the Senior Medical Director of doTERRA's Pleasant Grove Prime Meridian Medical Complex, which will open in April of 2019. Riggs will also lead doTERRA's medical advisory board and doTERRA's clinic development team. Stevens, a Ph.D. candidate and doTERRA's Director of Essential Oil and Clinical Research, is a trained laboratory scientist, specializing in essential oils. Nicole will oversee formulations, informational research, and clinical trials involving essential oils, clarifying their chemistry and physiological activity in humans. Beaumont, doTERRA's Sr. Director of Quality Control, has a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry and is an experienced scientific director in the health-wellness and fitness industry. Cody is also skilled in pharmacokinetics, method development, pharmaceutical research, LCMS, GCMS, XRF, ICP, and technical writing.
