doTERRA Donates to Help A Wish Come True

PLEASANT GROVE, Utah, Dec. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- doTERRA Wellness Advocate and Mountain View High School PTA member, Tina Glover, participated with local Utah schools in the eleventh annual Family Fun Run. The Family Fun Run raises money for Make-A-Wish Utah so that children who are faced with life-threatening medical conditions and are experiencing the pains of serious illnesses can have their wishes come to life.

This lively event brings families and neighbors together to support Make-A-Wish children through running a race and participating in a silent auction. doTERRA International was happy to donate product for their auction to support such a wonderful cause. The proceeds of this year's run and auction will go towards making Greyson's wish come true.

Greyson is a six year old that has been diagnosed with Nemaline Myopathy. Nemaline Myopathy can be a painful and severe disorder that affects the skeletal muscles in the body. This disorder causes muscles (especially the face, neck, and proximal muscles) to be uncommonly weak and diminishes reflexes throughout the body. These symptoms interfere with ordinary body movements such as breathing, walking, and swallowing which can onset pain, anxiety, headaches, depression, and fatigue.

Organizations like the Family Fun Run and Make-A-Wish Utah are helping children, like Greyson, to live their dreams and enhance their lives. Through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, children who are diagnosed with serious illnesses can make a wish and the foundation will make it happen. Make-A-Wish knows that a granted wish can be a game-changer in empowering children to fight harder against their illnesses. In fact, many health professionals "overwhelmingly believe that the wish experience can improve a wish kids' physical health."

The Make-A-Wish Foundation has granted the wishes of many children with life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, muscular dystrophy, and cerebral palsy, and they are seeing great results in the health of the children they help.
