The first-time partnership will give fans the chance to win unforgettable experiences leading up to WWE's biggest pay-per-view event of the summer, SummerSlam, on Sunday, Aug. 18 in Los Angeles. Doritos is one of the flagship brands from PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division.
In addition to being the presenting sponsor of SummerSlam 2013, the Doritos brand will also reward Doritos Jacked fans through two exciting SummerSlam opportunities. The first, a national promotion through Dollar General, gives consumers the chance to win an unforgettable SummerSlam viewing party. The second is a "WWE Fan Correspondent presented by Doritos Jacked" contest that offers Doritos Jacked fans – those who live for the thrills and push the limits – a chance to interview WWE Superstars as a correspondent for the WWE app, which has been downloaded more than 6.5 million times since its debut last year. The Doritos Jacked brand and WWE are searching for potential fan correspondents in Brooklyn, N.Y., Austin, Texas, Laredo, Texas, Green Bay, Wis. and Sacramento, Calif. to interview a WWE Superstar for the WWE app as they step out of the ring at five Monday Night Raw® events leading up to SummerSlam. To enter, consumers must show their correspondent skills by creating a short video of themselves and the bold question they would ask a WWE Superstar.
Videos should be uploaded to WWE's YouTube Channel (Youtube.com/WWEFanNation) prior to each event (visit Youtube.com/WWEFanNation for full contest rules and timing.) For each event, three fans will be selected to win tickets to a Monday Night Raw. One lucky fan may also be chosen to be the WWE app correspondent for the night. The WWE app is currently available on the iOS, Android and Windows 8 platforms.
The five Monday Night Raw events include Brooklyn, N.Y., on July 15; Austin, Texas, on July 22; Laredo, Texas, on July 23; Green Bay, Wis., on Aug. 5; and Sacramento, Calif., on Aug. 12.
