Donlen Recognized by Computerworld as a 2012 Computerworld Honors Laureate

NORTHBROOK, Ill., March 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Donlen, the fleet industry's most comprehensive and integrated provider of financing and asset management solutions, has been named a 2012 Honors Laureate in IDG's Computerworld Honors Program for its groundbreaking Fleets for Change® program.

As a premier provider of innovative fleet management solutions, Donlen identified a need for a change within the fleet industry and stepped forward to take a leadership position. Developed in collaboration with Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), Fleets for Change exemplifies Donlen's commitment to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the fleet industry.

Launched in 2010, this initiative is expected to reduce fleet emission levels of participating companies by an average of 20%, generating a reduction of more than 500,000 metric tonnes of greenhouse gases in the first five years.

Member companies upload their fuel usage and mpg data into a secure database, where they can then track progress against their own goals and anonymously benchmark against similar fleets with regard to vehicle type and/or class, industry, and fleet size. Current Fleets for Change companies include Coca-Cola, IBM, HP, Xerox, and Maersk, to name a few.
