Don Francisco's Coffee Celebrates National Coffee Break Day
Honors Coffee Break Tradition and Culture on January 20
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Don Francisco's Coffee, one of the leading coffee retail brands in Southern California and among the top 10 nationally, is celebrating coffee history and culture by encouraging friends, family and colleagues to celebrate National Coffee Break Day on January 20. This nationwide coffee celebration initiated by the National Coffee Association commemorates coffee's iconic place in U.S. history and culture and kicks off a week's worth of coffee-infused activities.
To commemorate National Coffee Break Day, Don Francisco's Coffee will serve free delicious coffee to the dedicated Los Angeles City Hall workers and the public from 11 am – 2 pm.
Since the 1880s, Americans have taken a break from their work day to refresh themselves with a cup of coffee, part of a long tradition of coffee as a centerpiece of kinship and conversation. According to the National Coffee Association, not only is coffee rich in antioxidants which have been widely linked to a number of potential health benefits, but the act itself of taking a coffee break has been known to help workers relax, interact, and become more productive and motivated on the job.
"For more than 130 years, our family has enjoyed the coffee break tradition," said Jose Gavina. "We are proud to help celebrate the first annual National Coffee Break Day with fans of Don Francisco's Coffee and the thriving community of coffee lovers in Southern California."
In addition, to better understand why consumers need their coffee break, Don Francisco's Coffee asked their loyal community of fans on Facebook to share top reasons why they deserve a coffee break and uncovered that this delicious and aromatic beverage provides much more than a quick pick-me-up. Apparently, coffee breaks provide an excuse to escape from work, bosses, and even children and to reconnect with family and friends to gossip and share special moments, as well as a chance to take a moment of solace after a hard day's work.
