Dominion Christmas Parade Announces 2015 Grand Marshal

RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- It's time to kick up your heels because Rayvon Owen is comin' to town! The Richmond native and Top 4 finalist on "American Idol" will serve as the official Master of Ceremonies for the 32nd Annual Richmond Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 5.

"We're excited to announce that Rayvon Owen will perform live at the Dominion Christmas Parade on the Macy's float! He is an excellent example of what it means to represent the City of Richmond well and we're elated that he'll serve as this year's grand marshal," said Robert Kelly, parade chair. • Legendary Santa

About Rayvon Owen
Pop recording artist and Richmond native Rayvon Owen began his music career at a very young age – singing in choirs, touring with gospel musicians and performing in local musicals.  In September, he released his highly anticipated "Air EP" featuring remixes of the title track. About the Dominion Christmas Parade
Richmond Parade, Inc. is a volunteer non-profit organization that hosts the Dominion Christmas Parade each year. This is the sixth year that the Dominion Foundation has sponsored the Christmas Parade. More than 100,000 people attend the annual celebration, which starts at the Science Museum on Broad Street and travels eastward along Broad to 7^th Street.

Each year, the beloved Christmas Parade showcases regional talent, including high school and college marching bands, high-stepping equestrian units, dance troupes, themed floats, super-sized helium balloons, and tons of fun. Traditional favorites such as the famed Harlem Globetrotters and Legendary Santa have also confirmed their appearances for 2015.
