Dollars for Scholars® Holds Second Regional Conference at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York
MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 15, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Scholarship America®, in collaboration with Northeast Dollars for Scholars®, will host a regional conference at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York on November 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is the second regional conference of the year, and the first time since Scholarship America's founding in 1961 that regional conferences are being held for its Dollars for Scholars chapter volunteers.

The conference will bring Dollars for Scholars volunteers together to collaborate and share ideas, as well as participate in training sessions—such as succession planning and board development, technology tools for chapters, and fundraising. Volunteers can take what they've learned at the conference back to their chapters and continue the great work that they are doing to help students achieve the dream of going to college.
Volunteers will also have the opportunity to hear Scholarship America's new president and CEO, Lauren Segal, speak about the future of Dollars for Scholars.
