Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Announces 2016 Scholarship Recipients
Two-Year-Old Non-Profit Awards Five Scholarships to Students with Tourette Syndrome
BOCA RATON, Fla., June 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Kelsey B. Diamantis TS Scholarship Family Foundation, Inc., dba Dollars 4 Tic Scholars, a non-profit organization established in 2014, has announced the recipients of its 2016 Tourette Syndrome Scholarships. Dollars 4 Tic Scholars awards college scholarships to students around the U.S. who live with the challenges of Tourette Syndrome. It is among the first non-profit scholarship organizations for students with Tourette. 2016 is the organization's second award year.

The five scholarship recipients include:
- Rachel Irene Retchless of Camas, WA – Recipient of the "2016 Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship Sponsored by the Brad Cohen Tourette Foundation" in the amount of $1000. Rachel graduated from Camas High School and will be attending Central Washington University, Ellensburg, WA in the fall as a freshman. Her major will be Biology with a minor in Psychology.
- Joshua Brayden Green of Mt. Juliet, TN – Recipient of the "2016 Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship Sponsored by Order of AHEPA Chapter #487" in the amount of $1,000.00. Joshua is a graduate of Mt. Juliet High School. He will be attending Trevecca Nazarene University, Nashville, TN as a freshman this fall with a major in Graphic Design and a minor in Praise & Worship Arts.
- Jakob Charles Rose of Solon, OH - Recipient of the "2016 Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship Sponsored by Tropicalboat Charters, Inc." in the amount of $1,000.00. Charlie graduated from Solon High School. He will attend Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland, OH in the fall as a freshman, and will be majoring in Animation.
- Hannah Elizabeth Rusinko of North Huntingdon, PA – Recipient of the "2016 Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship" in the amount of $1,000.00. Hannah is a graduate of Norwin High School in North Huntingdon, PA. She will be attending Denison University, Granville, OH as a freshman this fall with a major in Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience.
- Malik Antwan Jackson of South Boston, VA – Recipient of the "2016 Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship" in the amount of $1,000.00. Malik is a graduate of Halifax County High School, South Boston, VA. He will be attending Longwood University, Farmville, VA as a freshman this fall with a major in Graphic Design & Animation with a minor in Creative Writing.
Essays from the applicants which tell stories about their experience as a person with Tourette Syndrome are posted to the organization's website.
